It all started when…
Welcome to my personal Story…
One of 6 kids working for my parents in the family restaurant business in upstate NY. A little farming town called Champlain. A few minutes from the Vermont and Canadian border. My interest in baking started when my Mom would take me to the town Bakery shop. I begged for the Giant sugar cookies from Mrs. Antil’s Bakery. They were my favorite. The size of saucers for $1.00 and the best sugar cookie I ever tasted. The aroma of fresh baked goods in that shop left me with a passion I could never get out of my mind.
As a young adult I started making cakes from home for family & friends. Then I decided to move to Sunny Florida in my late 20s to get away from the bitter cold of the North. It was then I worked for several bakeries and expanded my Skills. One day I decided to open up a bakery. I specialized in Wedding Cakes. Then expanded to 2 bakeries. It was a wonderful experience.
I’m now in my 60s and just want to bake from home. Florida Law allows home bakers making confections to sell legally from home without a license. It’s Called “THE FLORIDA COTTAGE LAW” They do inspect your home.
